PARIS CALLING AGAIN

So, for our 2^nd European Adventure this season, and it’s off to Paris we go again this time to take on Stade Francais.  As is customary, we have pulled together some information for match day, travel in Paris, pre-match meet up with the Racing fans as well as possible watering holes for the travelling tribe to keep themselves hydrated.

Pre-Match Meet Up

Rami, our Stade Francais contact in Paris, has suggested meeting for a quiet pre-match pint in THE PUB, BASTILLE:  The Pub Paris - English Pub in Paris With Artisan Beers around 19.30 on Friday night.  The Pub” in Bastille, is a small but perfectly welcoming central Paris pub.  The bar is a French / English privately owned by co-owners, Ben and Clive (Harlequins fans), Pierre and Nil.  The bar will be open throughout the weekend.  They will be showing the rugby, and they are offering a weekend long happy hour to all travelling fans wearing club merch.  Pints from 6 Euros and wine 5 Euros, plus small cheeseboards, and handmade pies.

However, with The Pub being such a small pub, we have also been recommended to try the “Black Sheep Society” in Bastille for pre match drinks.

On Saturday, we have been invited to join some of the Stade fans from 12noon at Les Deux Stades, 41 Av. du Général Sarrail, Paris.  Apparently, they serve good food but if you want to eat you’re advised to pre-book.

There are 5 supporters clubs at Stade, and weather permitting they will be located around stadium having picnics, but with the weather forecast not being good, some Stade fans be found in Aux Trois Obus Aux Trois Obus pre match. 

Also, Chez Arlette, Chez Arlette which is a restaurant located right next to Stade Jean Bouin, regularly host away supporters on match days both pre and post-match in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

FROG X1V:  FROG XVI - Frogpubs  Serving freshly brewed craft beer, hearty food, big screens in English for the Rugby, and a FREE PINT is being offered for anyone in club colours, as a small merci from Frog XIV to the fans for making the journey.
